Site Manager
Reporting to: Project Manager

Role Overview:

 
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the timely and budget-conscious delivery of specified site/block projects in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves managing, motivating, appraising, and coordinating short-term programs for foremen and subcontractors. The Site Manager collaborates with commercial, design, quality, and health and safety teams, compiling and issuing weekly site reports to the Project Manager. Our client, a prominent contractor specializing in cladding remediation for over two decades, excels in delivering multimillion-pound contracts in London and the wider Southeast.
 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage, and monitor specified parts of the project plan and associated budgets.
  • Manage foremen and site-specific subcontractors, ensuring works align with safety standards, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly client reports for Project Manager review.
  • Foster relationships with key client staff, stakeholders, and third parties.
  • Take ownership of project management within assigned scope, managing resources and ensuring works are delivered to time and budget.
  • Coordinate labor and material requirements, liaising with project manager, QS, and buying department.
  • Possess relevant information for the works and communicate requirements to the workforce.
  • Maintain quality standards, compliance records, and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with the health and safety department to ensure H&S compliance.
  • Work with ISO and Design & Quality departments to manage service and product delivery.
  • Resolve resident issues and address contractor and subcontractor concerns.
  • Attend regular site and management meetings.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, H&S legislation, and company processes.
  • Hold weekly progress meetings with subcontractors/supply chain.
  • Ensure QA/QC is carried out and recorded by ASM.
  • Monitor, deliver, and update the site program weekly.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical – ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification/experience in construction.
  • CSCS card, SMSTS, Asbestos awareness, Scaffold awareness (PASMA), Manual handling, Fire awareness.
  • DBS checked as required for specific projects.
  • Façade/EWI experience essential.
  • Minimum 4 years of previous experience.
  • Competent user of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Microsoft Outlook.
