My Client, a leading provider of bridge and structures maintenance, is dedicated to the constant enhancement and advancement of its services. We specialize in various sectors, such as highways and rail, and our expertise is employed in projects throughout the entire United Kingdom.
 
In light of their ongoing achievements and expanding business, they are seeking a highly skilled Schemes Manager with extensive experience in Bridge Bearings to join their Operations Team.
 
As the Schemes Manager, you will oversee multiple projects nationwide, ensuring their timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire (Open to working away)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (Car or Car Allowance included)
 
Main Duties:

  • Managing cost, workforce, plant, materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Maintaining client and customer liaison.

  • Phasing, planning, and programming of projects.

  • Inputting scheme information into the company Workboard.

  • Managing contract and HSEQ performance in alignment with company and customer policies.

  • Ensuring site information, including commercial data, is collected in compliance with company policy and QMS.

  • Overseeing operations training and competency in accordance with company policy and QMS.

  • Managing all internal and external communications (customer, suppliers, and subcontractors).

  • Assisting the estimating team in reviewing/pricing enquiries, identifying risks/benefits, and producing cost analysis/weekly reports.

  • Regular travel to sites across the UK.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally with civil/construction projects such as highways, RC structures, or bridges.

  • SMSTS certification.

  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a relevant building qualification.

  • 3+ years of previous experience as a Project/Schemes Manager.
