Overhead Lines Worker - HV and LV/MV
Reports to: Site Supervisor
Requirements:
All relevant Health and Safety accreditation and certification (e.g., Safepass, Climbing & Rescue)
Full Driver's License as required
Utility Approved Qualified Overhead Lines Worker for 10kv/20kv/LV networks
Utility Approved Overhead Lines Worker for all HV network systems
Experience with Fiber is an advantage
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, repair, and refurbish high voltage overhead electrical lines and systems
Work on both transmission and distribution lines, from power plants to individual buildings
Ability to climb and work at heights (up to 50m) on poles and towers, utilising Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) when required
Operate the network to facilitate outages for emergency repairs and maintenance
Conduct emergency repairs in situations such as lightning, wind, ice storms, or ground disruptions
Utilise live working procedures for maintenance and repairs where outages cannot be granted
Perform all works in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, standards, and procedures
