Reports to: PICW/Site Supervisor
Requirements:
- All relevant Health and Safety accreditation and certification (e.g., Safepass, Climbing & Rescue)
- Full Driver's License as required
- Utility Approved Qualified Overhead Lines Worker for 10kv/20kv/LV networks
- Utility Approved Overhead Lines Worker for all HV network systems
- Experience with Fiber is an advantage
- Install, maintain, repair, and refurbish high voltage overhead electrical lines and systems
- Work on both transmission and distribution lines, from power plants to individual buildings
- Ability to climb and work at heights (up to 50m) on poles and towers, utilising Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) when required
- Operate the network to facilitate outages for emergency repairs and maintenance
- Conduct emergency repairs in situations such as lightning, wind, ice storms, or ground disruptions
- Utilise live working procedures for maintenance and repairs where outages cannot be granted
- Perform all works in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, standards, and procedures
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities
