Looking for a rewarding opportunity to advance your career as a Managing Quantity Surveyor? We are working with a major T1 Contractor who is looking to add a Managing Quantity Surveyor to their dynamic team where you will be responsible for overseeing and assessing the operations of contracts, ensuring that commercial objectives and targets/Deadlines are met.
 
You will work closely with the Contract Manager/Commercial Manager to provide accurate and timely information on all aspects of the contract, helping us to make informed business decisions.
 
Your duties will include cost estimating, cost planning and commercial management, risk management, and procurement. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge while contributing to our continued success.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all commercial activities are performed ethically while maintaining a competitive position 
  • Accurately report project forecasting on a monthly basis
  • Ensure accurate month-end CVR reporting
  • Review and manage risks and opportunities
  • Maintain cashflow
  • Manage supply chain procurement
  • Mentor and manage team members
  • Produce monthly commercial and health check reports
  • Undertake any other reasonable requests as required by upper management
  • Maintain project pipeline and order book
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
 
Minimum qualifications and experience:
  • Proficient IT literacy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree qualification or similar
  • Demonstrable commercial experience
  • Relevant professional qualifications

  • Efficient time management skills, with flexibility for planning and prioritizing tasks
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with excellent presentation and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated experience in cost and value management
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of construction technology and software such as BIM, CAD, and estimation software
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
