CAPEX Project Manager

Salary: £50,000 - Car Allowance £5,500 - Bonus Scheme Included

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to deal with Capex as there are numerous projects commencing in an exciting period of growth. The head office based in the Midlands region is a great working environment to be based at and complete your daily duties. This offers you the opportunity to work for a UK wide international engineering organisation, with a market leading presence and manufacturing capabilities across the UK. Previous experience of dealing with Capex is essential to be eligible for this opportunity.

Working closely with the Energy and Carbon Manager you will manage a range of projects across all the core business areas. Operating alongside a project team, you will be responsible for capital project management and delivery of operational improvement initiatives, including new technologies to reduce operating costs. Therefore, it is key to have previous experience of handling the budget of a project as well as the key decisions on where capital is invested. The sites you are required to visit are predominantly amongst the Midlands area of England with some venturing a bit further. The role requires strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relations with others to influence project outcomes. Requirements;

  • To be considered for the Capex Project Manager role it is desired to be educated to a degree level or equivalent is preferable
  • Experience of managing projects within renewable energy, energy efficiency and other low carbon technology areas
  • The successful applicant will have a project or program management qualification OR qualified by experience with a commitment to achieve a recognised qualification
  • The successful Project Manager will be required to efficiently manage stakeholders and clients at senior level
  • Possesses the ability to lead and manage various teams across a range of business functions
  • You will manage projects from inception to completion and through to stabilisation and delivery of efficiencies as per the project plan
  • Developing the project scope, objectives and where appropriate business cases, involving all relevant stakeholders ensuring technical feasibility, project value and alignment with the business strategy
  • Managing risks, assumptions issues, dependencies, costs and schedules throughout the project
