About Megan

I am HSQ's Marketing Executive and my day to day responsibilities include creating and managing content for our social media channels, overseeing both internal and external events, attending industry events, and working on the development and maintenance of our website to name a few things.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Every day is completely different, which is what I love most. One day I could be filming a video for social media, the next I might be planning an event. I really enjoy the variety and the opportunity to work closely with all the teams across the business. I also like getting out to events and meeting new people.

Has there been a standout moment or achievement in your career so far?

A key achievement was winning the Above and Beyond award and a standout moment for me personally was making the transition from a recruitment role into marketing. It was a big shift with no prior experience, but I took a leap of faith - and it paid off.

What can your colleagues expect when working with you?

Brutal honesty - but in the best way. I bring positive energy, I’m always available to help and happy to show people how to do things. I always try go out of my way to support others wherever I can.

What do you enjoy most about working at HSQ?

The social aspect and the people. The office is stunning, and we have great facilities which helps. We’ve got such a mix of personalities, but everyone gets along really well. There’s a relaxed, open, and honest culture, balanced with a strong work ethic. The business also offers great flexibility and genuinely accommodates individual needs.

How would your colleagues describe you in three words?

Caring, bubbly, and passionate.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy going on walks, spending time with my family and friends, trying out new places to eat, running, and travelling.

Is there a motto or mindset you bring to your work each day?

Everything happens for a reason. It’s my life motto and I think it applies to work as well.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far in your career?

Don’t take things personally. Learning to separate yourself emotionally from challenges makes a big difference.
