The University of Manchester is expected to confirm joint venture Stanhope and Bruntwood SciTech as its developer and investor partner to deliver a planned £1.5bn innovation district in Manchester.

Masterplan for new Manchester science and innovation district
ID Manchester, a science and technology hub, will be built on a 26-acre site at its North Campus, near Piccadilly Railway Station in the city.
The proposal envisages delivering 2.6m sq ft of new work space alongside some residential and 3 acres of high-quality public realm on one of the last major development opportunity sites in the city.

Ambitious building plans include large amounts of new public realm
The University is expected to confirm the appointment next week after the appointment process stalled during Covid setting plans back.
Stanhope and Bruntwood SciTech JV was in a final head to head with a Peel L&P and Urban Splash pairing.
