This client is continually expanding on an international scale and is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop there career with no limit. They are currently recruiting for a Sub Agent for projects in West London with experience in utilities and civils. They will be the initial contact for sub-contractor supervisors and in house supervisors.
Some of your duties will include
  • Responsibility for the Construction & Quality Assurance teams and ensuring they are fulfilling their duties
  • Working to ensure the comprehensive checks are made in relation to the implementation of safe systems of work
  • Responsible for the completion of incident investigations, ensure the implementation of corrective actions – ensuring the Project Manager & Works Manager carry out the investigation on their sections
  • Ensure the contract programme is completed and submitted on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to translate sectional programmes into the contract programme and any other requirements
  • Provide the site teams with the main programme and budget requirements
  • Take the site sectional plans and check for compliance
  • Work with the teams to achieve the required outputs and meet budget constraints
  • Update the commercial team and senior project manager of progress
  • Contribute to the project monthly report and complete the monthly cost plant updates
  • Ensure the construction teams (Project Manager & Works Manager) carry out material and error reconciliations and report these back to the Project Manager
  • Work with the quality engineer to ensure sufficient control of QA on site is being implemented
  • Ensure all departments are aware of the programme and their requirements therein
  • Responsible for the quality of the physical works to ensure compliance with the contract specifications and design
  • Responsible for the management of all subcontractors ensuring compliance with a programme, budget and HSEQ
  • Support the commercial team in securing major supply agreements and subcontracts
  • Responsible for the completion of site diary ensuring that any disruption, instruction and or delay are capture and reported to the Project Manager and commercial team
  • Responsible for the daily coordination meeting with subcontractors and client, ensuring next day activities are properly planned and aligned with project programme
  • Management and/or production of temporary works design briefs, Request for Information (RFI) and Technical Submittal (TEC)
 
Some skills and experience you will need to succeed in this role
  • Knowledge within the construction industry with proven technical and project management abilities
  • Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
  • Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
  • Computer literate
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and proactive 
  • Strong organisational and management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
