ELECTRICIAN


Scope


You will form part of the engineering team covering the entire site. Your day to day responsibilities will include the planned and reactive maintenance of fully automated and electrically driven machinery such as hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and robotics. The role will also involve root-cause PLC fault finding, repair, and some programming.

Responsibilities


· Undertake electrical work in accordance with UK legislation and client standards using the safe working procedures set out in the client's policies, procedures and instructions.
· Fault finding
· Process improvements
· Energy reduction
· Maintain all diagrams, circuit schedules and other information,
· Maintain all PLC controlled equipment including program modifications to suit production needs
· Safety related control systems for machinery
· Ensure all PPM schedules are carried out in a timely manner
· Mentoring of apprentices
· Timely diagnostics of breakdowns measured on the internal PPM scheme
· Completion of PPM tasks that are scheduled weekly

Essential Requirements
· Time Served electrical engineering apprenticeship (engineering training authority)
· 18th Edition wiring regulations City and guilds 2391
· Inspection and testing City and guilds 2391
· Functional safety related control systems for machinery
· Control panel design/build
· Cable Sizing
· Motor Control/VFD/DC
· PLC experience, fault finding and programming (Rockwell/Omron/Mitsubishi)
· Flexible approach of working hours
· IT Skills

Desirable Skills

  • Minimum BTEC/ONC
  • IOSH/NEBOSH Qualified
  • Robot experience fault finding and programming (Fanuc/Kuka/ABB)
  • Weighing equipment (load cells etc)
