HSQ Recruitment are proud to be supporting British Forces Resettlement Services

HSQ Recruitment are proud to be supporting British Forces Resettlement Services at their National Employment & Armed Forces Careers Fair at Leicester Racecourse on Thursday 16th June 2022.

Many members of the Armed Forces Community (AFC) are facing the home stretch of their time in service, and British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) are helping them over the hurdles and start the next chapter of their lives outside of the services.

Historically, the Nation have frequently relied on the Armed Forces to plug the gaps and help the country operate in times of crisis, a recent example of this being the Armed Forces assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic with the vaccine roll and providing personnel to support the large-scale temporary NHS Nightingale hospitals.

The skills that servicemen and women possess does not end once their time in service ends and the cross-functional skills and recognised qualifications gained by ex-forces personnel during their time of active service are transferable to many of the engineering sectors HSQ Recruitment recruits for within civil engineering, infrastructure and construction.

The Civils, Infrastructure and Engineering industries we work within continue to face a skills gap and REMEs have the experience needed to fulfil the specifications required for technical civilian roles, with a breadth of aptitude, skills and training that are transferable and could add real value to many of our clients.

BFRS Managing Director Neil Dean advised "Many of the exhibitors who exhibit with BFRS, recognise the wealth of experience and valuable skill sets our ex-military personnel have. We are seeing more and more companies sign up to our National Employment & Careers Fairs and we are delighted that over 60 companies have partnered with BFRS to exhibit at this face-2-face event and advertise their vacancies online at bfrss.org.uk. Exhibitors include; BAE Systems (Event Sponsor), AIS Survivex (Gold Plus Sponsor) and NASC (Event Guide Sponsor).”

With 60+ exhibitors in attendance and thousands of career and training opportunities available on the day, members of the AFC can hear about the options available for them in their resettlement straight from the horse’s mouth.

We’re looking forward to speaking with AFC members about the different career paths available to them, current opportunities we have available and talk them through how we can support them with their next steps outside of service.
